DC Geomatics at NAMPO 2026
Technology Driving the Future of Agriculture and Security
NAMPO 2026 once again brought together the best of South African agriculture, innovation, and technology and for DC Geomatics, this year’s event was an incredible opportunity to showcase how drone solutions are transforming both farming and security operations across the country.
Hosted at NAMPO Park, NAMPO remains one of the largest agricultural exhibitions in the Southern Hemisphere, attracting thousands of visitors ranging from commercial farmers and agri-businesses to mining companies and technology providers.
This year’s theme, “Resilience Through Innovation,” could be seen throughout the entire event. From precision agriculture and advanced monitoring systems to modern security solutions, NAMPO 2026 highlighted how industries are adapting to modern challenges through smarter technology and innovative thinking.
This year, one thing became very clear: industries are actively searching for smarter, faster, and more efficient ways to operate and drone technology is leading that shift.
Drone Technology Taking Centre Stage
Throughout the week, DC Geomatics experienced strong interest in advanced drone solutions, particularly within precision agriculture and security monitoring.
One of the standout products at our stand was the DJI Agras T100, which generated significant attention from farmers looking to improve spraying efficiency, reduce operational costs, and embrace precision farming practices.
As agriculture continues evolving, drone spraying technology is becoming an essential tool for modern farms. The ability to cover large areas quickly and accurately while improving resource management is changing how farming operations approach productivity and sustainability.
Security and Monitoring: A Growing Priority
Another major highlight at NAMPO 2026 was the response to the DJI Dock 3 paired with the DJI Matrice 4TD.
The solution attracted strong attention from both farmers and mining companies, particularly as security continues to become a growing concern across South Africa.
The ability to deploy drones remotely for scheduled patrols, thermal inspections, perimeter monitoring, and rapid-response surveillance offers a powerful advantage for large farms, remote properties, and mining operations. Visitors were especially impressed by how these drone systems can improve response times, increase visibility across sites, and provide real-time monitoring with minimal on-site intervention.
For many attendees, the Dock 3 and Matrice 4TD demonstrated what the future of security and operational management could look like a perfect example of resilience through innovation in action.
Supporting the Industry Beyond Hardware
At DC Geomatics, our role extends beyond simply supplying drones. As drone adoption continues to grow, compliance and legal operation are becoming increasingly important for businesses implementing UAV technology.
Our team assists clients with drone compliance and operational requirements, helping businesses navigate the regulatory side of drone implementation while ensuring solutions are deployed responsibly and effectively.
More Than an Exhibition
NAMPO 2026 was more than just a showcase of equipment and technology. it was a meeting point for conversations around innovation, sustainability, security, and the future of agriculture in South Africa.
The event highlighted how industries are increasingly turning toward technology-driven solutions to overcome modern challenges, improve efficiency, and strengthen long-term resilience.
For DC Geomatics, it was an incredible experience to connect with farmers, mining professionals, security operators, and industry leaders who are embracing the future of drone technology.
We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand, engaged with our team, and explored the possibilities of UAV technology with us throughout the week.
The future of agriculture, security, and innovation is evolving rapidly and DC Geomatics is proud to be part of that journey
